Barry Bonds Selected As Most Valuable Jailbird
I’m not feeling a bit sorry for barry bonds. sorry. I do not believe that he did not know he was taking steroids. I think sammy sosa deserves an asterisk like barry’s for using corked bats as well.
Yes there are a lot of other baseball players cheating as well. There are players in other sports that have been caught cheating.
But you know, there is nowhere in the law that says you can use the “well so and so is doing it too” defense. This case is about barry bonds and the fact that he cheated and each cheating athlete should be treated as individual cases as well.
I listened to ESPN talk about this last night and it seems that several people think that since bonds is not the only cheater he should not be singled out.
If you rob a bank, you can’t say you should not be punished because there are other bank robbers doing the same thing.
Barry bonds should face the music. he made his own choices. No one forced him to take steroids. No one forced him to commit perjury.
