Bush Answer To Fighting Terrorism Give Them More Guns
Our history is full of places where we provided arms to people who later became our enemies.
We gave arms and training to Afghanistan and Osama Bin Laden to fight the russians.
We gave arms and even biological weapons to Saddam Hussein to fight the iranians with. The biological weapons were used to gas the Kurds in Northern iraq, which of course we condemn entirely.
That’s just 2 relatively recent examples of the US arming it’s friends who later become enemies. You would think we would learn by our mistakes. You would think that history would be a way to predict what happens when we take this approach.
But not with Bush and company. They are arming militias in Iraq and training them with our tactics. Bush claims this is working really really well and calls it progress. When they turn on us, what will he call it then? Oh yeah. He won’t have to because he will be out of office and the damage will be blamed on whoever is president then.
Now they want to take this history-proven failure of a tactic and arm the pakistanis against al queda. It will turn against us there as well and bush won’t be worried about it either.
